In a remote Korean fishing resort, a quiet and reserved clerk, Mute Hee-Jin, leads a solitary life, occasionally exchanging her body for basic necessities with the resort's tourists. Her routine is disrupted when she rescues Hyun-Shik, a fugitive on the run from the law, who tries to take his own life by drowning.
