Dr. Grood has conquered the planet Ergro, paving the way for a universe-wide takeover. A group of captives, including reporter Rex Barrow, his photographer Tim Johnson, Professor Edmund Dorn, and his daughter Ella, are held prisoner by Grood, who aims to exploit the professor's expertise. However, with the professor's inventions, Rex manages to liberate Ergro from Grood's rule, ultimately sending the villain on a journey through space with no end in sight.
