Benton, a rancher, hires a lawyer named Harkness to protect their land titles. However, Harkness takes the money and betrays Benton, jailing him. Determined to clear his name, Benton breaks out of jail and becomes the Phantom, a masked vigilante seeking revenge against Harkness.
