The Oregon Trail background

The Oregon Trail

Two seasoned scouts, Jeff Scott and Deadwood Hawkins, are tasked by government officials to safeguard settlers and quell the wave of bandit and Native American attacks.

Frontier scout Jeff Scott and his partner, Deadwood Hawkins, are hired by Washington officials to stop outlaw and Indian raids on pioneer wagon trains crossing the western plains. They identify a pattern of attacks targeting only wagon trains bound for the Oregon territory's rich fur-trapping regions. The duo overtakes a wagon train, rescuing its occupants from an Indian massacre and uncovering a spy working for the raiders. As they navigate the treacherous journey, they foil an Indian attack, put a suspected spy in jail, and ultimately reach the Oregon territory. However, their victory is short-lived as a fur company syndicate, led by Sam Morgan, tries to extort land claims from the settlers by flashing a fake grant.
