Rebecca De Mornay stars in this 1980s cop-film-noir, which combines 1970s horror music and 1980s Michael Mann's style, but takes a turn for the worse with a bad funk score during a handball game. The acting is decent, with De Mornay still looking great at 40 or 41, but the dialogue and story are subpar. The camera work is uneven, featuring annoying jump cuts and white-outs, and some scenes don't quite work. Despite this, the film has a distinct 1980s look and some good moments.
