Daffy Duck plays Duck Drake, a private investigator who receives a call to investigate a murder at the J. Cleaver Axe-Handle Estate. He suspects an amorous lady duck of committing the crime and attempts to reenact the murder, but ends up getting hurt in various ways. It's later revealed that he went to the wrong address, and the real murder site is down the road.
