Tally Green, a struggling cleaner, finds inspiration in an old piano at an abandoned cliff-top house and begins writing music. Her free-spirited nature helps jaded lawyer Leo reevaluate his life, and they grow closer. After a disagreement, Leo encourages Tally to share her talent, and she gives him a tape of her album. He quits his job to become a writer, while Tally prepares for her first gig in years. When a radio DJ discovers the tape, Tally's hidden talent is about to be revealed.
