A stuffy manager seeks to shut down a noisy nightclub next to a classical conductor's home, where his niece, a lovely opera singer, lives. The club's owners devise a plan to stay open, with one of them wooing Vicki and inviting her and her uncle to the club. When Vicki's aunt and the manager discover her newfound love for popular music, they try to close the club, but the owners retaliate by planning a Broadway show, with Vicki as the leading lady.
