Two stories intertwine in this movie. In the present, a pessimistic and lazy teacher named Felix is inspired by a book he finds, which leads him to discover the story of Rabindranath Tagore, a Bengali poet and author. In the past, Tagore arrives in Argentina and has a brief romance with Victoria Ocampo, a writer who hosts him. As Felix becomes more obsessed with Tagore's story, he learns about the poet's spiritual notions and his revolutionary school in India.
