Charlie elopes with a wealthy farmer's daughter, Tillie, and steals her father's money. After a wild night in the city, Tillie ends up in jail while Charlie runs off with her cash and his old flame Mabel. Charlie then discovers Tillie has inherited a multi-millionaire uncle's estate and convinces her to move into his villa, where Mabel becomes a housemaid. But just as they're settling in, the uncle, who's not actually dead, returns and has the whole group thrown out by the police.
