Notorious outlaw Jim Levering, also known as Wild Bill Elliott, and his gang seek refuge in the small town of Deer Creek after a string of bank robberies, finding shelter with Mack Wilson, the town's dominant bar and casino owner.

In the small town of Deer Creek, outlaw Jim Levering and his gang seek refuge from the law, only to find themselves entangled in a protection racket run by local bar-and-casino owner Mack Wilson. Jim eventually takes over the racket, earning the respect of the community, and is even appointed sheriff. When his old gang joins Wilson's outfit and starts looting the town, Jim and his partner Ray Hammond must take action to stop them, leading to a showdown that results in the outlaws being either killed or jailed.
