A bulldog named Spike, accompanied by his small admirer Chester, embarks on a mission to intimidate a cat, Sylvester. Their pursuit leads them to a junkyard, where a black panther, escaped from a zoo, is hiding. As Spike repeatedly enters the junkyard to confront Sylvester, he is instead attacked and disfigured by the panther, mistakenly believing it to be Sylvester. Meanwhile, Chester successfully bullies Sylvester, leading Spike to conclude that Chester is actually the stronger one.

A bulldog and his companion team up to outwit Sylvester the Cat, but their scheme is derailed by the unexpected arrival of a stray black panther.
