Mickey Raymond, a San Francisco court stenographer, embarks on a two-week vacation in Malta to find inspiration for her next mystery novel. Unbeknownst to her, a simple act of buying postcards at a souvenir stand sets off a chain of events, leading to her being mugged and people around her being murdered.
