Two friends, Norah and Charli, find themselves trapped in a never-ending cycle of boredom and frustration after death. To move on, they're forced to participate in a program that requires them to mentor young black individuals, which Norah sees as an unfair and unpaid internship. Meanwhile, their boss, Aunty Rose, views it as a cultural obligation. Charli is particularly upset, having been dressed in traditional Anko attire before dying and being told he must wear it forever unless he learns to mature. The story takes a turn with the introduction of their first young mentee.
