In the kingdom of Fir, a royal succession crisis erupts as Prince Kamaro and Princess Karen from rival houses compete for the throne. The powerful Firebird, capable of time travel, seeks to claim the monarch's rightful place by finding it first. Meanwhile, Karen takes a bold approach, traveling back to 1981 to enlist the help of her ancestors Wataru Toki and Koyomu Himekuri in locating the Firebird.
