On a rural Chinese train, a couple of con artists, Wang Bo and Wang Li, board with a plan to swindle a trusting peasant, nicknamed Dumbo, who's carrying a large sum of money. However, Li's motives are driven by a desire to protect Dumbo, seeking redemption through prayer and a visit to a temple. The couple's relationship is put to the test as they navigate a series of contests with other thieves, including a calculating boss and his seductive accomplice. Amidst the chaos, Dumbo's innocence and spirituality pose a threat to the group's moral compass, forcing Li and Bo to confront their own values and relationships.
