A family of four, including two children, are staying at a seaside boarding-house, trying to keep their financial struggles a secret from the other guests. Meanwhile, a young couple on their honeymoon and an older couple are also staying at the hotel. Chaos ensues when a child accidentally drops a sandal onto the roof of the honeymooners' room, leading to a series of misadventures as the child tries to retrieve it.
