Anvil, a pioneering heavy metal band since 1978, has been met with limited success despite their unwavering commitment, with a particularly disappointing European tour in 2006 marking a low point in their career.

Best friends Robb Reiner and Lips, 14 years old when they formed Anvil, made a lifelong pact to rock together. As the "demi-gods of Canadian metal," they inspired a generation of metal bands, including Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax, despite never achieving mainstream success.
