Discharged as unfit, he joins British intelligence and becomes embroiled with a German woman from a prominent family, whose brother is a high-ranking Nazi propagandist. Recruited by the Germans, he makes radio broadcasts from Berlin, spreading propaganda and secretly conveying coded military information to the British. However, his cover is eventually blown, and he and his lover must flee to survive.
