A low-level gang member, Leo Martin, is betrayed by his boss Loman and left with broken wrists in prison. After his release, Martin seeks revenge against Loman and his driver Hatchett for abandoning him. He frames Loman for a murder and sets out to ruin his life, while also manipulating a respectable art dealer, Gregory Lang, into doing his dirty work. Despite the efforts of Inspector Rogers to solve the crime, Martin's cunning and resourcefulness help him outsmart everyone and get his revenge.
