In this small-town drama, the Bixbys eagerly await the return of their daughter Margaret, who's engaged to a snobbish wannabe aristocrat, Lawrence. However, Margaret has a surprise: she's married a sailor, James, and introduces him as a friend to spare her family's feelings.
