Walter Scholl, a 60-year-old former weightlifter, works as a loyal and skilled mover for a house moving company. His boss, Roland Grone, is planning a risky real estate deal with a dubious family clan, aiming to clear out a historic apartment house in a prime neighborhood. However, one tenant refuses to leave, and Walter's life is turned upside down when he discovers that the stubborn young man is his long-lost son, Jan. As Walter gets to know Jan and his family, he's drawn into a complex web of deceit and danger, torn between his loyalty to Grone and his desire to reconnect with his son.
