A man, Pandian, disguises himself as a woman, Avvai Shanmugi, to take care of his daughter and win the heart of his ex-wife's new husband, Vishwanathan Iyer. As Avvai Shanmugi, he becomes the new servant maid and eventually wins over Vishwanathan Iyer, who falls in love with him. However, Pandian's true identity is eventually revealed, and he is able to reconcile with his ex-wife and daughter, realizing that his initial decision to divorce was a mistake.
