In the South Pacific, Tikoyo lives by the Bora Bora lagoon with his unique companion, Manidu, a massive 16-foot tiger shark. Once an orphaned baby, Manidu was found and named by Tikoyo, who believes the shark houses the soul of a wise old man. Together, they guard the sacred black pearls and protect Tikoyo, his girlfriend Diana, and their environment from harm.

Tikoyo, a resident of the Bora Bora lagoon, stumbled upon a man-eating tiger shark as a tiny, orphaned baby, measuring only a foot in length, and dubbed it Manidu.
