Elwood, the lone "Blues Brother", is freed from prison and joins forces with Sister Mary Stigmata to raise funds for a children's hospital. He reunites the band and heads to the New Orleans Battle of the Bands, pursued by the police, Russian Mafia, and a militia group. Along the way, he enlists the help of a young orphan and a strip club bartender.
