A British ship is severely damaged in a battle with a German vessel, and its survivors are rescued by the German ship, which is also damaged. The German ship seeks refuge in a deserted island to repair its damages, unaware that one of the British survivors, Seaman Brown, has stolen a rifle and fled the ship. Brown plans to ambush the German crew from various locations on the island, hoping to slow down the repairs long enough for a British ship to arrive and engage in combat.
