Vic James, a seasoned wedding videographer, is about to capture the special moments of Alison Jones and Phil Havemeyer's big day. As he prepares to film their ceremony, he becomes fascinated with the couple's unique situation. Alison, a people-pleaser, has given Vic free rein to film everything, while Phil is too distracted by his phone to notice. But just as the wedding is about to take place, Alison gets cold feet, fearing her parents' failed marriage will repeat itself. To avoid disrupting others, she convinces Phil to go through with the ceremony without actually getting married.
