In 1940, the British Army is conducting an experimental military unit, the 1313 Anti-Aircraft Battery, where half the members are female. Captain S. Melly arrives to take command, only to discover that the unit has been lax in training, spending their time socializing with the opposite sex. Despite the unit's former commander's inability to handle the antics, Melly aims to instill discipline, particularly as England is at war.
