A US soldier's return to the States is marked by a grueling struggle to adjust after suffering a traumatic brain injury in Afghanistan.
Emotionally scarred Lynsey, a former U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officer, returns to her hometown of New Orleans to recover from a severe injury suffered in Afghanistan. As she struggles to find purpose outside rehab and the military, she forms an unexpected bond with sweet-natured local mechanic James, a fellow broken soul.
