War veteran pilots Dizzy Davis, Texas Clark, and Jake Lee work at an airline in Newark. Dizzy's infidelity leads him to fake illness, passing the flight to Cleveland to Texas. After Texas' plane crashes during a treacherous landing in bad weather, Dizzy feels guilty and decides to take the next flight to Cleveland, testing a new anti-ice device on the plane.
