Chasing the Dragon

A Chinese immigrant, driven by determination, leaves his past behind in 1963 and starts a new life in Hong Kong, only to find himself embroiled in a world of crime and eventually rise to notoriety as a powerful drug lord.

In 1963, Ho, an illegal immigrant, infiltrates Hong Kong and becomes embroiled in the city's underworld, engaging in frequent battles with rivals. After many brutal encounters, Ho's good nature is destroyed, and he becomes a monster, more depraved than the most corrupt officials and ruthless drug dealers. He rises to become the most powerful drug lord under the control of Chief Detective Sergeant Lee Rock, but with the establishment of ICAC in 1974, Rock is forced to retire early. Undeterred, Ho vows to become the sole ruler of the drug empire.
