A Gulf War veteran, John Woodrow, is hired by a senator to investigate the murder of his grandson at a notorious California prison. Woodrow goes undercover as a prisoner, John Wilson, and discovers that the killer is a corrupt and sadistic prison guard. After being tortured and almost killed, Woodrow escapes along with a few inmates and a high-stakes chase and shootout ensues in the desert.
