Dakota Skye

Dakota Skye, a 17-year-old girl, has been cursed with the ability to see the truth in every lie she hears. This power has led her to become bitter and apathetic towards the world, as she's constantly surrounded by deception from those she trusts. Her life is stagnant, with a semi-popular rock band boyfriend and a childhood best friend, but she finds little joy. That is until Jonah arrives in town, a man who doesn't lie. Through their friendship, Dakota's eyes are opened to the possibility of something more, something better. However, this newfound hope is threatened by the fact that Jonah is her boyfriend's best friend. Dakota must now make a choice: return to her apathetic life or take a leap into the unknown with Jonah, risking the repercussions that come with it.
