Devil's Cargo background

Devil's Cargo

The 1944 film, a low-budget sequel to The Falcon series, follows a sluggish murder mystery plot that highlights the protagonist's skills as a magician.

A wealthy playboy is murdered in his penthouse, and a man named Ramon Delgado confesses to the crime, asking the Falcon to keep a key for him until his acquittal. Delgado's wife was the target of the victim's affections, but after Delgado is found poisoned in his jail cell, the Falcon suspects his own attorney, Tom Mallon, of the crime.
