Married couple Lee and Tim, a yoga instructor and physical education teacher, take a two-week break at a secluded LA Hills house with their three-year-old son Jude. Tim finds a gun and a bone in the woods, which he believes could be human remains. He reports it to the police, but they tell him to drop it unless a body is found. Lee convinces Tim to focus on their income tax return, and while she's away, Tim hangs out with friends instead. His find sparks speculation among his friends, including Max, who may have ulterior motives. Meanwhile, Lee uses her weekend away to re-energize and re-evaluate her life.
