The next movie follows Takuya and his friends as they find themselves on the Wandering Island, where two groups of Digimon, the Human-type and Beast-type, are engaged in a bitter war. The group befriends Bearmon and Kotemon, who are friends and younger brothers of Grizzlymon and Dinohyumon, respectively. As the war rages on, Takuya and Koji take sides, with Takuya siding with Dinohyumon and the Human-type Digimon, and Koji siding with Grizzlymon and the Beast-type Digimon. The group soon learns of a legendary bird named Ornismon, who is said to have the power to end the war. With the help of Bearmon, Kotemon, and the Baby and In-Training Digimon, Zoe, JP, and Tommy work together to reassemble Ornismon's picture, but what they discover may change everything. The movie also delves into the connections between D'Arcmon, HippoGryphomon, and the evil Murmuxmon, adding an extra layer of complexity to the story.
