In "The Bridge", Hasan, a former opium smuggler, and Bilal Masters, a wealthy employer, team up to establish a large factory in Istanbul. As the factory takes off, workers begin to unionize, prompting a confrontation between Bilal and the union. Meanwhile, Hasan's personal life is complicated by his marriage to Hacer, who he abandoned two years ago, and his relationship with his two children. When a defective machine causes a workplace accident, Hasan's emotional bond with Hacer deepens. Tensions rise between the union and Bilal, as well as between Hasan and Hacer, who becomes involved with the union. The film explores the struggles of migrants in major cities and the complexities of employer-employee relationships.
