In a battle between God and Satan, the fate of Faust, a brilliant and devout alchemist, hangs in the balance. As a plague ravages the land, Faust's desperation grows, and he makes a pact with Satan's servant, Mephisto, trading his soul for youth and power. However, Faust soon becomes disillusioned with his newfound abilities and falls in love with Gretchen, a young woman who is subsequently shamed by their affair. As Easter Sunday approaches, Faust demands to be taken home, only to discover that redemption may be possible, but at what cost?
