Friends and Romans background

Friends and Romans

In this comedic thriller, a group of amateur Italian-American actors find themselves caught up in a wild goose chase when they're mistaken for both mobsters and federal agents, blurring the lines between art and reality.

In this comedy, a group of lifelong movie extras from Staten Island stage a production of Julius Caesar, seeking speaking roles. However, their local theater is a secret hideout for a real-life gangster who also thinks he's an actor, and the FBI is hunting him for a recent murder. As the FBI inserts an undercover agent to audition for Cassius, the cast remains unaware, focusing on proving they're more than just extras.
