In the lawless town of Wolf Valley, land-grabbers Barlow and Taylor wreak havoc, and Billy Carson, framed for murder, fights back. Despite being acquitted, Billy is sentenced to 30 days in jail to protect him from the outlaws' vengeance. Without his leadership, the settlers are helpless, and the town descends into chaos. Billy, determined to reclaim his claim, goes undercover as a Mexican cattle-buyer to infiltrate the gang.
