A young man named Joe Bonaparte is torn between pursuing his musical talents and becoming a boxer. Despite his father's wishes, Joe decides to follow his passion for boxing and with the help of a struggling manager, Tom Moody, he quickly rises through the ranks. However, as Joe becomes more successful, he begins to question his decision and it's up to Lorna, Moody's girlfriend, to convince him to stay in the sport. But when a powerful gangster offers to invest in Joe's career, Lorna starts to have doubts and Joe must decide if it's too late to change his path.
