A young man, Nate, grows disillusioned with the pretentious art scene in New York and sets out to discover a more authentic form of contemporary art. He becomes fascinated with a group of Goth rappers from Delaware, known as Young Torture Killers, and decides to document their music by filming them performing in their parents' basement. As he gets to know the rappers better, Nate finds himself torn between his desire to create a genuine portrayal of their culture and his own lingering connections to the art world.
