Down-on-his-luck entrepreneur Bill Martin and his sidekick Stuff Oliver are in a desperate bid to stay ahead of their creditors when they meet "The Captain," a quirky, peg-legged old sailor who claims to know the location of the treasure of pirate Sir Henry Morgan. The Captain believes the treasure is hidden in a castle on an offshore island recently inherited by Martin, and he has a treasure map to prove it. However, half of the map has been stolen by a mysterious phantom, and Bill sees an opportunity to make money by organizing a "treasure hunt" outing to the "haunted" island for a hefty fee.
