Jessica has been plagued by recurring nightmares since childhood, which she's studied and tried to understand with the help of her boyfriend and mentor Sean. When her estranged mother's grandmother passes away, Jessica reluctantly returns home, only to discover her grandmother's body in the next room during the wake. After a restless night and a strange nightmare, Jessica becomes ill and decides to try lucid dreaming to take control of her nightmares. She begins to explore a twisted world inhabited by her family members, using ether to sink deeper into the dream world and improve her skills. As she delves deeper, she's driven to uncover the mystery haunting her family home.
