Two Cockney low-lifes, Vince and Malfie, plan to get rich by robbing a fireworks factory on the eve of Firework Night. They cut the alarm cables and sneak inside, but find the safe filled with money is too heavy to move. After getting stuck in the industrial lift, they fight over the safe's combination, only to find it's empty except for a note with the combination code. With their pockets full of cash, they wait for help, unaware that they've also cut their only link to the outside world and the factory is closed for the day. Their plan seems doomed, leaving them to survive for nine months.
