Gérard Lanvin is offered a major role in a US blockbuster about the Allied forces' landing in August 1944. Filming takes place in the French South. While staying in a production-provided house, Gérard meets Momo, who maintains the pool. Momo is an overzealous fan who has seen all of Gérard's films and quickly tries to make himself essential to his idol and the crew, sparking a nightmare for Gérard.
