A group of Komodo Dragons, abandoned as eggs on a North Carolina island in the 1970s, have grown into a dominant force. Twenty years later, a young boy named Patrick returns to the island with his therapist Victoria, who is skeptical of the Dragons' existence. However, their skepticism is soon replaced with terror as the lizards begin attacking, leaving Patrick and Victoria to fight for survival and escape.
