A wealthy and eccentric millionaire, Henry I. Dibble Jr., is pushed to the brink of madness by his four spinster sisters, each named Faith, Hope, Charity, and Prudence.

Henry I. Dibble, Jr., a playboy, is plagued by his four maiden sisters until a crisis arises when they order him to evict a penniless family from property owned by the Dibble estate. However, Junior moves in instead and begins to alter the lives of those living there, including a taxicab driver who wants to be a dancer and his unemployed singer girlfriend.
