Little Men background

Little Men

In this heartwarming film, two young boys from Boston discover a new sense of belonging at Plumfield, a rural boarding school founded by Jo and her husband, where they learn valuable life skills and receive a well-rounded education.

In 1871 New England, a 10-year-old orphan named Nat Blake is forced to live on the streets of Boston with his streetwise friend Dan. After a transformative event, Nat finds a benefactor in John Brooke, who sends him to Plumfield, a boarding school in the countryside owned by Jo and Fritz Bhaer. The Bhaers' unique approach to discipline emphasizes compassion and treating boys as individuals, leading to a dramatic change in Nat's life. As he adjusts to his new surroundings, Nat must confront his past and adapt to a new way of living, ultimately discovering a path to self-improvement. The arrival of Dan, who refuses to conform to the school's rules, adds an extra layer of complexity to Nat's journey.
