Marketa Lazarová

In a medieval world, two brothers, Mikolás and Adam, rob travelers under the orders of their tyrannical father Kozlík. Their actions attract the attention of the King, who sends an army to punish Kozlík. Meanwhile, Mikolás kidnaps a young woman named Marketa, who was about to join a convent, in a fit of rage against her father, Lazar, who refused to join Kozlík's war.
